Premarital counseling is one of the places where that interlacing gets done with intention.

Unwoven Muse offers an 8-session premarital education program, using an electic mix of emotion focused, Gottman, and trauma informed therapy..  The program includes a full relationship assessment and satisfies the instructional-hour requirement for both Texas's Twogether in Texas marriage license discount and that of the state of Oklahoma.

Most couples spend more hours planning the wedding than preparing for the marriage.  Premarital preparation is more than just tradition: it's evidence-based. In a randomized controlled trial, couples who completed structured premarital education divorced at roughly 1/3 the rate of couples who didn't, one year later.¹ Broader research links premarital education to meaningfully lower divorce rates² and to measurable, lasting gains in communication, conflict management, and relationship satisfaction.³ Even so, most engaged couples never build these skills together before the wedding.

Our program closes that gap.
