Who Is LaQuisha Glenn? A Look Into the Heart Behind the Work

Before I ever sat in a position to support others… I was the one trying to figure things out.
Not in a textbook kind of way.
In a real life, heart heavy, “how am I going to make this work” kind of way.
I know what it feels like to carry responsibility before you feel ready.
To be a mother and still be healing yourself.
To navigate systems that are supposed to help…but feel confusing, overwhelming, or not built with you in mind.
I know what it feels like to need support…and not always know how to ask for it.
And I won’t tell all my story here.
But I will say this… I didn’t find my way into this work by accident.
I was called to it.
Because somewhere along the way, I realized something powerful:
The people who helped me the most weren’t the ones who had all the perfect words.
They were the ones who made me feel seen.
Safe.
Not judged.
They didn’t look at me like a problem to fix.
They saw me as a person worth understanding.
That experience shaped me.
It shaped how I listen.
How I show up.
How I hold space for others.
Today, I show up on the other side of that experience.
As a social worker.
As someone who is passionate about helping people heal, grow, and better understand themselves.
As someone who creates spaces where people can breathe, feel, learn, and begin again.
I don’t believe support should be limited to one type of story or one type of person.
I believe in supporting people…period.
Women.
Men.
Children.
Anyone navigating life, healing, identity, or change.
And I also believe in education.
Because when people understand what they’re feeling… they move differently.
When they have the language for their emotions…they respond differently.
When they feel empowered…they begin to see themselves differently.
And that matters.
I carry my lived experience with me into every interaction.
Not as a wound…but as wisdom.
What I’ve learned is this:
People don’t open up because of titles.
They open up because they feel safe.
Clients don’t need perfection.
They need consistency.
They don’t need someone to talk at them.
They need someone who knows how to sit with them… without judgment, without rushing, without trying to “fix” everything too quickly.
Sometimes what people need most is simple, but not easy:
To be seen.
To be heard.
To be believed.
That’s the heart behind my work.
My why is deeply rooted.
It’s the people who are trying to find their way back to themselves.
It’s the ones who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start.
It’s the ones who just need one steady, safe person in their corner.
Because sometimes…one person believing in you changes everything.
So if you’re here, reading this, trying to figure things out in your own way…
You’re not behind.
You’re becoming.
And if you’re looking for a space where you can be supported, educated, seen, and gently guided forward…
You’re in the right place.
Welcome. 💜
